Bigfoot and Marty
Directed by Ronnie Ferguson
COMING SOON
Bigfoot and Marty—a no-budget documentary by award-winning filmmaker Ronnie Ferguson—
explores the work of two-time Poet Laureate of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and renowned “Bigfoot Poet,” Marty Achatz, as he tracks the elusive Bigfoot…one poem at a time. Unique in the Bigfoot world and the world of poetry, the film offers a compelling meditation on the role of mystery and the pursuit of mystery in our lives. Along with poetry by Achatz, the film features a musical score by the critically acclaimed father/son band STREAKING IN TONGUES, and candid interviews with many Bigfoot experts, such as celebrated cryptozoologist and author Ken Gerhard, and the founder of the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization, investigator Charlie Raymond.
Bigfoot and Marty won the Independent Spirit Award at Midwest WeirdFest, along with being recognized at film festivals around the world.
